15 Minutes

”Fifteen minutes, that's all you get
One quarter hour, to get it all together
That's nine hundred seconds to make
your bed
Fifteen minutes to show the world

You think you're something, that's what it's like
The one and only, the centre of attention
You're on you're high horse,
then you're on your bike
'Cos you've got fifteen minutes to show
the world
Fifteen minutes to show the world

Blow me kisses forever
Show me this is a love forever

Well, there's been some misunderstanding,
but that don't bother you
You never let it get you down, you can show
them all next time around
Swallow this sound bite, you won't have time
to chew
'Cos you've got fifteen minutes to show
the world
That's fifteen minutes to show the world

Feed me honey I'll live forever
Throw me money I'll live forever

Fifteen minutes, that's all you get
One quarter hour, to get it all together
That's nine hundred seconds to make
your bed
And don't go hesitating
'Cos someone else is waiting for his
Fifteen minutes
Fifteen minutes
Fifteen minutes to show the world.

Running on the moon...

Bitter cold, but amazing sites on the white moon. Yes, it is like running on a snowy beach. Want to get in shape ? Try running through snow... Surprised a Mallard duck who was hiding behind a snowbank...saw a red bellied woodpecker. Can't believe anyone would wear an iPod while out in nature. You miss everything, and you'll soon be hearing impaired... more on that topic later... IEM's are the enemy.

Campbell American Bill Nelson Signature Transitone Guitar news

“The British are coming, the British are coming !!!”

Dean Campbell shipped off the first production Nelsonic Transitones... I believe (if you ordered one from me) I'm told that you'll be seeing yours sometime in April...
As Dean says; “They will be ready, when they are ready !”

I'm anticipating a batch of UK1's in cool colors, different than anything out there, a Caledonian that will knock your head off, and I will be stocking a couple neato Precix's...

Here's a crazy cat in the snow... Could this be the secret weapon for recording ?... I'll never tell...

9 degrees of separation...

Today's journey into the arctic was one of wonder and appreciation. Unless you never have lived in the North Eastern US, especially off Lake Ontario, you can only imagine what the term “severe cold weather” means... Try navigating it in a car equipped with snow tires, let alone run in it ! They can't even plow the sidewalks because of the amount of snow, it has no where to go... My almost 5 mile detoured run today took me down repeat side roads, I actually missed my homeward bound 1.5 mile St. Paul Boulevard jaunt. It was like being in a snow globe, and I tried to capture the diffused sunlight through thick cloud cover (it was an amazing filter effect) and blowing snow in the photo here...

While I curse the bitter chill of the howling wind, as my eyes start to actually freeze from tearing, I am thankful that my vintage body, (circa 1960) actually feels pretty good, and I can turn on the jets and get home to thaw... It was spookily quiet out there, the birds and squirrels provided the soundtrack, except for some who brave the cold to dig out... No kids playing outside... and they have had a couple days off for snow days ! The moments of calm, in between blasting arctic air, was unearthly...

Like Tiki Barber...

#21 has given me many years of joy as a New York Football Giants Fan...Going to the games since 1996, and have witnessed history from the amazing “Tikster” as “old # 22” Dick Lynch has said many times on WFAN broadcasts. We've been there with you Mr. Barber. Wish the world had more solid citizens like Tiki Barber... Farewell and thanks to you, Tiki... It won't ever be the same...

What happened to the beautiful Sphere Sound® neon sign ?

I've had a few inquiries as to what happened to my sign that glowed brightly on Gibbs Street for over a half decade... Well, last Summer '06, the sign transformer took some kind of power surge that fried it. After installing a new transformer, most of the upper SPHERE logo was dim... Needless to say, I am mildly superstitous, and it was an omen for the rest of my year... I'm glad to say that, since my Gibbs Street relocation, the sign is glowing brightly and you can see it pictured below on the right !
Many thanks to the first aid and diagnosis of
Brent Gillette at Bristol Neon.
(If you'd like a great sign or need repair of yours, call me @ 585-342-9246 and I'll give you his contact info) You can reach him on THE INTERNETS at: bneon@frontiernet.net

Heat Wave @ 16º F

After three full days of bitter cold, I'd had enough. Cabin fever and the break (3 days off) in my routine would not be denied... I actually overdressed for my run. It was beautiful-sunshine and little wind. Felt great...16 degrees Farenheit out there on a snowy Tuesday. {The wind chill was below zero.} No wonder New Yorkers are so tough !
